[NEW]TGIF! The Avengers: Age of Ultron

PapaRich + Avengers
TGIF! And May is coming! It's time for movies again... Well, I've been thinking 'The Avengers 2' for ages! My friend, who is a big fan of Marvel even bought the Premier ticket! My friend Anthony has watched Age of Ultron  for 3 times in theatre! And he claimed that every time he watched again, he would something new and fascinating! LOL

The story is very simple. Tony wants to build Ultron when he got a chip embedded AI, because he's apparently the most rich and has the most free time! Then Ultron is out control and took advantage of a pair of brother (sliverwar) and sister (scarlet witch), finding a strong body. Tony then built Vision to compete with Ultron.

The most amazing thing is that Ultron can be duplicated and transported by Internet, that's probably why it's called age of ultron! Anyway Ultron is beaten, everyone went back to their places and three new avengers are joining: Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Vision and the Falcon.

The joke on 'Watch your language!' has been the humours point through the whole movie. Another point is the relation between Widow and Halk. Widow said' I adore you' to Halk, which made some audience excited... Oh, shield and thor are really made for each other.

The disappointing points are that Ultron is too weak to make the Avengers panic! I sctually pretty like Sliverwar but he was soon dead when rescuing a boy!! Halk hung up Wodow' s call and left to some random planet. Just let him alone... I love Mark Ruffalo, so I wanna have him back in next epidose. I love Robert Downey Jr. as well, but he will stay anyway since he's just rick and free!!

Last but not least, there's a tiny bonus clip at the end of the sculptures video of the avengers, it's one a gold-hand purple guy. I am just wondering how many colors does Marval wants to collect when it's enough to redeem a thor...or a shield... LOL

Well, the movie is overall just okay. I won't say that it makes you want to watch 3 times or really looking forward to Avengers3, like what 'the Avengers' created.
That makes even concerned about the quality of 'Insurgent' since the second episode of a movie series is always likely to let audience down.

[Recommendation] Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

The way Marvel do things dictates that each of the Avengers gets their own ‘origin story’ first, and arguably none are more important than that of the First Avenger, Captain America. The contextual necessity of his story as the original superhero makes this a rather crucial film if you’re planning to watch the whole Avengers franchise and really get to grips with it all. Set during World War II for a large portion of the film, there is a great deal of attention paid to the background of Steve Rogers and his transformation into Captain America, but unfortunately this travel back in time does have inevitable repercussions on the viewing experience.

For perhaps the first 45 minutes to an hour, we see the failed attempts of weak, loser Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) who is determined to enlist in the US Army and fight in the war. Despite his diminutive stature, Rogers’ patriotic nature, bravery and relentless persistence to become a hero, lead him to be selected as the subject of an experimental procedure. We get a look at the famous Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), Tony Stark’s late father, who hopes to turn Rogers into a super soldier. Upon his physical transformation, Rogers becomes ‘Captain America’, and initially there are lots of pantomime-esque moments as he is turned into somewhat of a propaganda joke, a performing puppet for the Army’s advantage. Set against the backdrop of Nazi Germany,  the sinister Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) is a worthy villain. When Red Skull unleashes the power of the notorious Teseract, Rogers is forced to shake off his longstanding inferiority to become a true hero, the real Captain America. With the bitter loss of his close friend Bucky Barnes, the Captain carries out his revenge but at the cost of martyrdom in his apparent death.
Chris Evans more than redeems himself for a poor showing in the ‘Fantastic 4’ disaster of 2005, a film which did nobody any good. All is forgiven as Evans portrays perfectly the ‘First Avenger’. He looks the part and plays a charming and believable hero brilliantly. Evans does well to maintain a dangerous and powerful aurora whilst providing the wit and likeability which makes the Captain so popular. Hugo Weaving, despite a questionable German accent, is a fearsome villain, bringing a genuinely ruthless, cruel nature to his character. As Steve Rogers’ love interest Peggy Carter, Hayley Atwell is the strong, feminine character in Marvel’s cinematic universe, providing a foreshadow to the character of Black Widow in future films. Atwell enjoys an impressive chemistry opposite Evans, as well as providing her own attitude, enough to earn Atwell her own spin-off series as ‘Agent Carter’.
The special effects used are somewhat flawed in places, particularly with the depiction of Red Skull’s haunting facial features. Indeed, it is difficult at times to see the sci-fi, magical elements against the setting of World War II. Marvel seem to be keen on distorting historical events to incorporate their own heroes, but in this instance, rather than creating an alternative history, as a viewer I was simply very conscious that I was witnessing a slightly absurd superhero movie. The slow motion fight scenes were impressive nonetheless, and despite the odd issue with SFX, the general composition of the film is fantastically typical of Marvel, in a good way.

[Recommendation] The Hangover (2009)

So here's the story. You got actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis as three guys respectively named Phil, Stu, and Alan, plus actor Justin Bartha as Doug. Basically, Doug is going to get married, and he plus the other three guys go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. At night, they climb up to the roof of Caesar's Palace, the hotel they're staying at, and start drinking. The movie then fast-forwards in time to transition from night to day and goes into the scene where the madness (and comedy) really begins.
What ensues is the weirdest hangover that anyone has ever experienced. There is absolutely no obvious explanation for any of the highly unusual things that Phil, Stu, and Alan discover in their hotel suite: a baby in the closet, a tiger in the bathroom, a live chicken, and Stu missing a tooth (which is ironic because Stu, as mentioned earlier in the movie, is a dentist). Oh, and Doug is missing without any hint of his whereabouts. Of all the characters who could possibly go missing, it has to be the groom. By not mentioning a single detail about what happened overnight, the movie does a good job making the audience feel as if they, too, are having a hangover.

But it's not just this one scene that's funny. The subsequent scenes are just as funny, if not funnier. Phil, Stu, and Alan (while carrying that mysterious baby) begin a sleuthing effort to solve the mystery of the night before. They empty their pockets in case there's something they haven't seen before. Then they notice a hospital band around Phil's wrist. So they go to the hospital to find out why they were all there in the first place. And I'm not going to say any more about what happens. Basically, just understand that the movie continues to be funny because the trio discover even MORE weird things that they have no memory of.

This isn't the only reason The Hangover gets better. For one thing, the three main characters are quite amusing to watch, especially when they get into situations they don't expect (not to mention have no memory of) and become desperate to get out of their predicament. And on the way, they slowly learn about the crazy things they did in their drunken state. Yes, that includes the really weird mystery of the tiger in the hotel bathroom. As for the most important question of all, about where Doug is, all I will say is that the answer is discovered in a clever way. Oh, and just wait until the credits start rolling. Everything else will finally be explained, once and for all.
